Backstreet Boys – Award Winning Design

Overview: The Firm is one of the largest Artist Management/ Entertainment organizations in the world with an artist roster that includes Limp Bizkit, Backstreet Boys, Korn, Orgy and Michael Jackson. The Firm gave DDGlobal the online objective to create a centrally located Content Management System (CMS) back-end that will enable The Firm to manage all of its clients' Web sites internally.

Business Challenge: The Firm wanted DDGlobal to create a robust CMS that would support multiple artist Web sites while keeping a personal and unique front-end for each. These Web sites will allow the artist(s) to communicate directly with fans via the Internet. The custom administration utility enables The Firm to capture valuable customer information, analyze Web site traffic, manage multimedia content and the ability to send bulk emails to each artist's fan base all from a centralized database."

As one of the world's most popular recording acts, the Backstreet Boys wanted a web presence worthy of their stature. The band's primary eBusiness need was to create a web presence that would help them touch their fan base online. A secondary goal was to use the web to generate revenue above and beyond typical online merchandise sales.

 

Business Solution: The Backstreet Boys were impressed by DDGlobal's unique combination of rapid technology implementations and superior creative design team. DDGlobal quickly delivered a sophisticated website for the group complete with complex community functionality, a leading edge content management system and a fully functional members only section. The content management system and community functionality allowed the super group to stay in close contact with their fan base, which lead to higher site traffic and increased customer loyalty. Perhaps most impressively, the members only section of the site quickly generated well over 13,000 subscribers and delivered in excess of $300,000 in gross revenue in its first few months of existence.
