Overview: Panacya, Inc. is focused on development of e-business management software. Panacya enables companies to reduce costs, maximize existing IT investments and increase the effectiveness of Web-based applications and services. In May of 2003, the company won the "Best of Interop Award" for their Business Aware software product - among only ten firms selected from more than 200 companies to be awarded one of the industry's premier honors.

Business Challenge: The Business Aware Software is a product produced by Panacya and represents a Web application management product that provides unprecedented visibility to overall service delivery. In real time, Business Aware identifies complex problems that are occurring or may occur in a Web application's infrastructure.

The key component of Business Aware is the Behavior Expert (BeX). The BeX is a distributed software inference engine for the automated analysis and monitoring of an e-business service and its underlying infrastructure. BeXs analyze and understand the behavior of an e-business service component and its role in the business process.

As a result of many-sided technologies used in the Business Aware components, Panacya needed a complex expertise and quality assurance (QA) service with respect to the methods of how data is retrieved and analyzed, their efficiency and correctness of both data retrieval and displaying as well as QA service for the whole product under the conditions of a real Web application environment. One of the main goals was deliver Generally Available (GA) BeXs for Panacya clients to utilize with the latest release of the product.

Business Solution: Panacya engaged DDGlobal to provide outsourced Software Product Testing and QA Service for the BeX components of their Business Aware in conjunction with the whole system. DDGlobal reviewed Panacya Business Aware and associated BeX requirements and design documentation to form a complete understanding of product requirements and design specifications, undertook necessary QA steps and found technical solutions that increased the efficiency of the product, its reliability and stability.
